WASIQ 6 1/2" Charm Swap - Guidelines

This is a monthly exchange. You participate month to month, and there is no commitment beyond the current month. Mail squares to Sue Biles by the 15th of the month.

Themes/Colors for 2006:

• February: Greens
• March: Blues
• April: Florals
• May: Purples
• June: Americana
• July: Brights
• August: Fantasy, Butterflies, etc.
• September: Dots, Zigzags, Stripes
• October: Orientals
• November: Christmas
• December: Winter
• January '07: Reds

Each month has a theme or color associated with it. To participate in that month's swap, you mail one or more sets of squares (in a name & address-labeled ziplock bag) in that theme or color to me. A set is 10 squares. Usually all 10 are the same fabric, but they don't have to me. The rule is no more than 1 set of a particular fabric.

Near the end of the month, after I have received all sets, I will exchange each of squares in your set(s) so that you receive back the same number of squares, but each of a different fabric. Some months we will not have enough participants, and you not receive all different squares. The more people involved, the greater the variety of charms, so encourage your friends to join in!

• Fabric: good quality, washed, 100% cotton fabric
• Colors or Themes: see the month chart above
• Size: 6 1/2"
• How Many: send in charms in sets. A set is 10 squares. You can send in as many sets as you like, but each set must be of a different fabric.
• Deadline: Mail your squares by the 15th of the month to me.
• Mailing: Please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your charms. Please use stamps--my local post office won't accept metered strips. The postage on the envelope should equal the postage needed to send your original package. For instance, if it costs you $1.35 to send the charms & SASE to me, make sure to put $1.35 of stamps on the self-addressed, stamped envelope.
• How to mail: Send charms in a ziplock bag with your name and address on the bag.
• Charms returned: I will swap the squares when I have received all sets (hopefully by the 21st of the month).

Some considerations:
--No one likes to receive worse quality than they send, so please send good-quality fabric. I will send you charms back to you if you send me poor-quality fabric, requesting that you send better.

--Please be on time. If you intend to send me charms but will miss the 15th mailing deadline, email me. I can be flexible and wait for you, but only if I know you are sending something.

--Please cut your squares carefully. Please be sure that your charms measure 6 1/2" by 6 1/2".
