WASIQ's 10th Year Signature Swap (starting 10/2007, ending 9/2008)

1. Expect to make 75 or more (300?) signature blocks. Know this is a one-for-one exchange, everyone will receive back a signature square from everyone in the exchange.

2. The block pattern is "Indian Hatchet" block and will be 4.5" unfinished. Corner blocks are made using 2.5" squares. Signature section can be white QUALITY muslin or Kona cotton. If you can see sunlight through the threads, or if it could be mistaken for a Kleenix, then it is not quality. Directions for block will be posted at the files section by Kathy Sharman.

3. Quality, washed quilt shop fabric is required.

4. Signature will include: Your Name, City and State, 2008
4a. Written with a PERMANENT FABRIC PEN (Sakura Pigma, Pebeo Setaskrib+, EZ Quilting's EZ Permanent Fabric Markers… for example.  NO Sharpies or iron-on transfers).

The swapping of blocks will happen in September 2008, so this means there are 10 months to create at least 75 signature blocks or about 10 blocks made each month--unless we can reach 300 participants (wouldn't that be great?). EASY SIMPLE FUN! Mailing directions to be sent in the springtime.

Drop out deadline/final block count date is February 29, 2008. But we all know that this quilt will be a collector's item because of all the famous people in our group. Think of all the signatures everyone will have, so we know that everyone will want to participate and no one will drop!!
